Hello! Hello! I'm the man pretty person on the right!
My journey in jiu-jitsu began in 2007 with a simple goal, to learn something real, something effective, and something that could stand the test of time. What started as a personal pursuit quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to the art, the discipline, and the community that jiu-jitsu creates.
Before dedicating myself fully to teaching, I served honorably for 8.5 years as a Nuclear Reactor Operator in our Navy. That experience instilled a strong foundation of resilience and leadership, values that continue to shape how we train and how we show up for our students every day.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to train all across the country, learning from different instructors, styles, and perspectives. These experiences helped me develop a well-rounded approach to jiu-jitsu that blends tradition with practical, real-world application.
My lineage traces directly to Wahsei Miran, owner of Eastern Academy in Virgina Beach, Virgini, who received his black belt from Relson Gracie, a member of the legendary Gracie family that helped bring Brazilian jiu-jitsu to the masses. I earned my black belt on August 29, 2020, carrying forward a lineage with pride and responsibility.
Today, my mission is simple: provide high-quality, practical jiu-jitsu in a welcoming environment where anyone, regardless of age, background, or experience can grow. Whether your goal is self-defense, fitness, confidence, or competition, I am here to help you build real skills that translate both on and off the mat
